IPL 2026 Rohit Sharma out: In the thick of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Mumbai Indians (MI) have suffered a sizable setback, as the franchise’s star batter Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of at least the next two matches. MI skipper Hardik Pandya confirmed the development on Thursday, before the team was about to lock horns with Punjab Kings. Speaking at the toss ahead of the match at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Pandya said Rohit would not feature in the fixture, adding that it may take him ‘a couple of games’ to recover fully.

Notably, Rohit’s previous appearance did not lack drama. Prior to his innings, his bat underwent scrutiny during a routine gauge test by match officials.
