Notably, the CBSE has also decided not to publish a merit list for the Class 12 exam results this year. The board said that the decision aims to discourage unhealthy academic competition among students.
It, however, maintained that merit certificates will be awarded to the top 0.1% of students who ended up securing the highest marks in individual subjects, ensuring recognition for exceptional academic performance.
