Registration deadline extended for Wheat procurement

One of the major decisions taken by the state government is the extension of the registration deadline for wheat procurement. Earlier slated to shut on March 7, the last date for registration has now been extended to March 10, 2026, paving the way for farmers to complete the process and benefit from the procurement programme. CM Dr Yadav said that the move has been taken to ensure that more farmers are able to register and avail themselves of the benefits offered by the government.

Rs 40/quintal bonus on Wheat Procurement

Dr Yadav further announced that the state government will provide a bonus of Rs 40 per quintal on wheat procurement during the current season. He added that the government is dedicated towards the welfare of farmers and is committed to ensuring that they receive better returns for their produce. The decision is expected to offer financial relief to wheat growers and encourage higher participation in the procurement process.

Rs 600 bonus announced on Urad Procurement

In another key step, CM Dr Yadav announced a bonus of Rs 600 per quintal on urad (black gram) procurement. He urged the farmers to cultivate urad, so that they can take leverage on the incentive while concurrently preparing their fields for the next crop cycle. The initiative’s goal is to boost pulse production in the state and increase farmers’ income.

Daytime electricity for Irrigation on the cards

Moreover, the MP government has also decided to provide electricity for irrigation during daytime hours. According to CM Dr Yadav, this measure will aid the farmers in avoiding the risks associated with irrigating fields at night due to power supply schedules. By ensuring daytime electricity supply, the government is hoping to step up safety and efficiency in agricultural activities.
