Iran India Strait of Hormuz Safe Passage:- Ships will get safe passage, Iran has clarified, gas supply will increase. The Strait of Hormuz is a vital route for global energy supply, through which a large part of the world's oil and LNG passes.

Amid rising tensions in the Persian Gulf and growing concerns about maritime security, Iran's ambassador to India has indicated that Indian ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, considered one of the world's most important maritime trade routes, will be granted safe passage. Reuters, citing sources, reported that Iran has granted safe passage to two Indian-flagged ships carrying LPG. This is expected to increase LPG supplies to India.

Iranian Ambassador's Statement -

Speaking to reporters, the ambassador said that positive developments could soon emerge regarding India's access to this strategic route. When asked directly whether India would receive safe passage, he said, "Yes, because India is our friend. You will see it in two or three hours." When asked again, he reiterated his confidence. He said, "Yes, you will see it in the future. I think within two or three hours." His statement suggests that positive steps could be taken in this direction soon.

His comments come at a time when maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is being closely monitored due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. This narrow sea route connects energy-producing countries in the Gulf region to global markets, and any disruption there could have immediate consequences for international trade and energy supplies. The ambassador also emphasized the strength of relations between India and Iran, noting that the two countries share many regional interests. He said, "We believe that Iran and India have shared interests in the region."

Talks between Prime Minister and President of Iran -

He also mentioned the recent talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. He said the two leaders had a positive discussion, and both agreed that every effort should be made to reduce tensions. He said Iran has repeatedly made it clear that it does not seek war, but is prepared for it if necessary. He added that Iran had resumed talks with the United States, but that process has been stalled.

Iran India Strait of Hormuz Safe Passage:

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital route for global energy supplies, carrying a significant portion of the world's oil and LNG. Therefore, governments and shipping companies closely monitor any instability in the region. For countries like India, which import large quantities of crude oil, a significant portion of which transits through this route, the security of this waterway is considered particularly important.
