Allu Arjun birthday: Telugu icon Allu Arjun’s 44th birthday celebrations took a chaotic turn in Hyderabad on Wednesday, as the police were forced to resort to lathi charge after an unruly crowd gathered outside his residence in the city’s Jubilee Hills area. Notably, fans began congregating outside the actor’s house from Tuesday night, hoping to greet him in person. Many of them showed up with placards, banners and gifts, and began chanting slogans to get closer to the entrance. As the crowd swelled, authorities and the actor’s private security found it increasingly difficult to maintain control and order. 



Cops step in to control situation


Several videos went viral online, showing the situation escalating, as the fans pushed barricades and surged towards the gates. In response, the cops used mild force, including a lathi charge, to disperse sections of the crowd and restore order.

Amid the chaos, Arjun briefly stepped out to acknowledge his fans and waved at them from a distance. His brother, Allu Sirish, who shared glimpses of the gathering on social media, described the overwhelming turnout as a testament to the actor’s popularity.

The Pushpa actor, on Wednesday morning, made an appearance once again, interacting more closely with fans who had waited for hours. Initially, Arjun stood behind the barricades and later moved nearer to the fans to acknowledge their love. He also folded hands in gratitude and briefly reached out to the ones standing in the front. 


As per reports, one fan even arrived dressed as Pushpa Raj, the iconic character essayed by Arjun in both ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ highlighting the cultural impact of the franchise.

Pushpa proves to be Arjun’s career-defining phase


Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj in Pushpa: The Rise and its sequel has cemented his position as one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars. Notably, the second instalment of the franchise turned out to be a money-maker, minting Rs 1800 crore globally and redefining his career trajectory. 


Meanwhile, director Atlee, on the occasion of the actor's 44th birthday, announced his upcoming collaboration with him, titled ‘Raaka,’ and unveiled his first look. The actor also has projects lined up with directors Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
