Because of the dilemma of peace talks between US and Israel there was positive sentiments seen in the market as a result there is a increase and market closed today with a increade of 940.73 points at 77958.52 and the Nifty closed with a increase of 298.15 points at 24330.95. In today's trading also , geopolitical tension across the border was seen, the prices of Crude oil have gone down by 107 dollars per barrel since the Strait of Hormuz is not open yet and are more likely the situation is not much clear but if it goes up the risk of inflation will increase. Today the share price of Pharma, Banking, Realty and Auto sector saw the most significant gains.
Today, a increase was seen in the Asian Markets also, Japan Nikkei closed with a increase of 0.38% of 228.20 points at 59513.12 points , while Chinese markets Shanghai Composite Index closed today with a increase of 1.17% of 48.02 points at 4160.17 , the South Koreas kospi Index increased by 6.45% by 447.57 points and closed at 7384.56 points and Hangseng Index of Hongkong was closed today with a increase of 1.22% by 315.17 points at 26213.78 points.The American markets on 05th May 2026 closed with a increase , Dow Jones increased by 0.73% by 356.35 points and closed at 49298.25 points whereas S&P 500 index increased by 0.81% by 58.47 points and closed at 7259.22 points.
