Bengaluru techie couple suicide: Two young tech professionals married to each other and based in Bengaluru were found dead under suspicious circumstances on Monday, the police said. As per police, the couple may have died by suicide and the cops have registered two separate cases of unnatural deaths. 


The ones who allegedly took the extreme step have been identified as Bibi Shaziya Siraj (31) and Bhanu Chander Reddy Kunta (32), both native residents of Telangana. According to police, Bhanu was found hanging inside the bedroom, while Shaziya later leaped from the 17th floor of their residential building and died.

Shaziya discovered the bedroom locked before jumping to death


Preliminary findings reveal that Shaziya discovered the bedroom locked from within and knocked repeatedly. When she did not receive any response for a long time, she raised an alarm and called her neighbours, as well as the security guards. When the door was forced open, Bhanu was found hanging inside. Within minutes of the harrowing discovery, Shaziya leapt from the 17th floor of the building and succumbed to injuries instantly. 


The police were called to the scene, who are examining all the aspects of the case, including emotional distress, health concerns and relationship issues. Officials said that both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the reports are awaited to establish the precise cause of death.

Initial findings by the police indicate that the couple had been married for nine years, and may have been experiencing an ongoing marital discord. As per reports, they had frequent disagreements after marriage, despite having been in a live-in relationship prior to their alliance. 


Police sources said that these tensions could have triggered the tragic outcome, though no definitive conclusion has yet been reached.

Separate tragedy reported from rural Bengaluru


In another such disturbing incident reported from Mallenahalli village under the Attibele police station limits in rural Bengaluru, two women were found dead at their house, while two other of their kin survived with injuries. The dead women were identified as Asha (55) and her daughter Varshita (32). Asha’s son Mohan (27) and her 10-year-old grandson sustained injuries, and their treatment is underway. The police said knives were recovered from the scene, raising the possibility of suicide, adding that the incident may be linked to mounting financial stress. The investigating police personnel said that the exact sequence of events will be ascertained only after an at-length forensic and autopsy examinations.
