Dhurandhar 2 propaganda: Actor Prakash Raj has stirred a fresh debate on social media by taking a veiled swipe at the praise surrounding the espionage thriller Dhurandhar 2; The Revenge. On Saturday, he took to the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), featuring the iconic song, ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar’ from the 1961 film Hum Dono. He captioned the post, “Me bahut door (Very far away) from Dhurandhar. Are you?”. His remarks hinted at an apparent disapproval of the film, and also targeted several South Indian actors who lauded the film publicly.

The controversy deepened after YouTuber Dhruv Rathee criticised the film, terming it an overt propaganda. He claimed in a strongly worded post that while earlier work by the director was subtle, the sequel lacked both nuance and quality.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge serves as a sequel to its 2025 predecessor and has been released in multiple languages, such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. It features a star-studded ensemble cast, and is backed by JioStudios and B62 Studios. However, with growing polarisation over its themes, the film continues to spark conversations beyond the box office.
