A scholarship distribution ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was organised at the Ravindra Bhawan in Bhopal on Monday, where state Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav was also present. The state’s top political leader distributed scholarships to meritorious girl students at the ceremony and encouraged them to pursue their ambitions with determination and confidence. 

Hundreds of students, their parents and representatives from various organisations were also in attendance at the event. CM Dr Yadav addressed the occasion, informing that as many as 850 girls were being provided scholarships. He also termed the initiative a meaningful step towards empowering young women through education.

On the occasion, CM Dr Yadav congratulated students for their achievements and said the financial assistance would pave the way for them to continue their studies without hindrance. He added that scholarships are not merely a form of economic support but also a way to strengthen the dreams and aspirations of talented students across the state. 

Education key to success, drives social change

The Chief Minister, in his speech, also emphasised the importance of education in shaping lives of the people and the society. He said education should not be viewed only as a means to obtain degrees and certifications, but also as a tool for personality development and positive social transformation.

 He encouraged the students present at the event to aim high in life, adding that young women should excel in professions like medicine, law, engineering and other fields, thereby bringing pride to both the state and the country. 

CM sheds light on importance of values, cultural learning

He then referred to critically-acclaimed literary figures such as Raskhan and Abdil Tahim Khan-i-Khana, saying that their writings have continuously inspired society with strong moral values and wisdom. He underlined that Indian culture and literature provide guidance towards adopting positive ideals, as well as ethical principles in daily life.
