Chhindwara bus accident update: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Friday noon paid a visit to the Karer village in Chhindwara district to meet the families of the people who lost their lives in a bus crash in the district on Thursday evening. The Chief Minister consoled the bereaving families and assured them of all possible assistance from the state government’s side. 



CM Dr Yadav offers condolences

CM Dr Yadav took stock of the area near the accident site and then assessed the situation of the affected families. He offered his condolences and said that the state government stands firmly with them in this hour of grief. He then interacted with the dependents of the deceased, listened to their concerns patiently and directed the officials to ensure the relief funds are disbursed at the earliest. 



“Administration working with utmost sensitivity”: CM


Spilling the beans on the treatment of the injured, CM Dr Yadav emphasised that the government would ensure the best possible medical care. He instructed the officials to make certain that there is no shortage of facilities in hospitals where the victims are admitted. 


He said, “The administration is working with utmost sensitivity,” adding that saving lives and supporting victims remains the top priority of the government. 



30+ persons sustain grievous injuries in crash


The deadly bus crash transpired near Simaria in Chhindwara when a passenger bus returning from a public event attended by CM Dr Yadav collided with a truck. The bus toppled over and 10 passengers were killed, while more than 30 persons sustained grievous injuries.

Final rites performed, families mourn


The last rites of several victims, such as Ramdas Parane and Siya Iynati were performed, while others deceased, named Daulat Farkade, Bhagwanti Vishwakarma and Shakun Yadav were cremated. Their kin continue to mourn their loss, with one bereaved relative alleging that her mother had been compelled to attend the event. 



CM reassures continued support

On the day after the tragedy, CM Dr Yadav spent time with the affected families in the village and consoled them. He listened to their grievances and reassured them that the state government would extend every possible support during this difficult hour.
