Pakistan Airstrike on Kandahar: Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated again. Pakistan has launched an airstrike against Taliban-linked targets in the Kandahar region of Afghanistan in response to recent drone attacks from Afghanistan. The Pakistani military claims that some of the ordinary drones launched from Afghanistan were directed towards Pakistani cities such as Islamabad, Quetta, Kohat, and Rawalpindi.

The drones were intercepted by security forces, but falling debris caused some damage, injuring two children in Quetta and several others elsewhere. Pakistan's president described this as crossing a "red line" and stated that attacks on civilian areas would not be tolerated.

Pakistan alleged that these drone strikes were orchestrated by Taliban bases in Kandahar. Therefore, Pakistani aircraft attacked Taliban-linked military bases, weapons depots, and other facilities there. Pakistan maintains that this action was aimed solely at the TTP (Pakistani Taliban) terrorist network, and not at civilians.

Meanwhile, the Taliban government in Afghanistan has leveled serious allegations against Pakistan. According to them, Pakistani attacks targeted civilian homes in Kabul and eastern areas. At least six people were killed and more than 15 injured, including children and women. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that a private airline's fuel depot near Kandahar airport was also destroyed. This depot supplies fuel to civilian aircraft and United Nations flights.

Tensions have escalated further along the recently carried out airstrikes in the Kanda attacks from Afghanistan. Pakistan has categorically denied these allegations, stating that no civilian facilities or population were targeted. Meanwhile, a roadside bomb exploded in Pakistan's Lakki Marwat district, killing seven policemen, further escalating an already simmering dispute between the two neighbors. The Afghan Defense Ministry claimed that they had attacked Pakistani border posts in Kunar and Nangarhar, capturing one post and killing 14 Pakistani soldiers. However, Pakistan dismissed this as completely false and stated that no such incident had occurred.
