Nayanthara Salman Khan upcoming film: South-Indian actress Nayanthara, who has left an indelible impression among Tamil and Telugu audiences, has been roped in as the female lead opposite Bollywood actor Salman Khan in director Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming film. The project, which is still untitled and is tentatively being referred to as SVC63, is backed by producer Dil Raju under his banner, Sri Venkatesawara Creations. According to reports, the shooting for the film will begin in April 2026.

The official confirmation was made on social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), and has already kicked up a buzz, marking the first-ever on-screen pairing between Salman Khan and Nayanthara. 



Production house welcomes Nayanthara, release likely for Eid 2027


The production house welcomed Nayanthara with a glowing note posted on ‘X’, terming her the ‘epitome of versatility and excellence.’ The movie is being mounted as a large-scale action drama, and its filming is scheduled to commence in April. Salman had earlier hinted at the collaboration by sharing a picture with Vamshi Paidipally on Instagram, captioning the post as: “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April.”

Paidipally too had expressed his enthusiasm over working with Salman Khan, and called this opportunity an honour. The film’s makers have also hailed Salman as a ‘phenomenon’, raising expectations around the film’s scale and impact. According to sources, the film will likely be released on Eid 2027. 



Nayanthara made Bollywood debut in Jawan alongside SRK


For Nayanthara, this project marks another significant step in her boosting pan-India career. She made her Hindi debut in Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan, which finished as a blockbuster at the box office. Director Paidipally is renowned for blending emotional narratives with grand visuals. He has previously worked with stellar actors such as Mahesh Babu, Junior NTR, Ram Charan Teja, Allu Arjun and Vijay. He was also conferred with a National Award for his film ‘Maharshi.’
