Franchise continues its dominance as an audience puller

The ‘Drishyam’ franchise has been enjoying cult status since its inception, for its gripping storytelling, layered suspense and unexpected twists. The story is centred on Georgekutty and his family, as they become entangled in a tense investigation after the son of a senior police officer vanishes abruptly.

The first film of the franchise, a 2013-release, became a landmark one in Malayalam cinema and later inspired successful remarks in several languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Sinhala. Its sequel premiered in 2021, further strengthening the franchise’s popularity and critical acclaim.
