Indian Railways Introduces Special Trains to Aid NEET Candidates
In a major relief for students appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Indian Railways has announced the operation of two special trains to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the examination period.
The move aims to ensure hassle-free travel for candidates from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan and help them reach their examination centres on time.
The special train services will operate over the next two days, and reservation blocks have already been opened to enable students to book tickets conveniently.
Why Has the Railway Introduced Special Trains?
With thousands of aspirants travelling across states for the medical entrance examination, railway authorities have taken the decision to manage the anticipated rush and provide additional seating capacity.
The initiative is expected to reduce overcrowding on regular trains and offer students a more comfortable journey.
Officials said the arrangement has been made keeping in mind the large number of NEET candidates travelling to various examination centres.
Indore-Bandra Special Train to Operate Today
Western Railway has announced a special train connecting Madhya Pradesh with Mumbai to facilitate travel for candidates.
The Mhow-Indore-Bandra Terminus Special Train will depart from Indore station at 11 pm on Thursday. It is scheduled to reach Bandra Terminus at 3:40 pm on June 20.For the return journey, the train will leave Bandra Terminus at 6:20 pm on June 20 and arrive in Indore at 11:20 am on June 21.
The service is expected to provide significant relief to students travelling to and from Maharashtra for the examination.
Bhopal-Ratlam Special Train to Complete One Round Trip
Apart from the Bandra-bound service, another special train will operate between Bhopal and Ratlam on June 20. The train will complete one round trip during the day, benefiting students travelling through Bhopal, Ujjain and Ratlam.
The additional service has been planned to ensure that candidates from various districts of Madhya Pradesh face minimal inconvenience while travelling to their examination centres.

The decision by Indian Railways is expected to ease travel-related stress for NEET aspirants. By increasing connectivity and seat availability, authorities hope to ensure that candidates can focus on their examinations without worrying about transportation challenges.
