Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav participated in the Shri Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha (consecration) and Dhwaj Poojan ceremony at Balaji Dham in Nagda town of Ujjain district on Wednesday. At the event, he said that his government is working in the spirit of Ram Rajya, with a strong focus on the welfare of the poor, farmers and women, while concurrently ensuring rapid development across the state.

He underscored the state government’s commitment to preserving religious heritage and accelerating infrastructure development. 

“Ayodhya Ram Temple fulfilled a 500-year aspiration”: CM

The Chief Minister credited Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s leadership for the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, terming it a culmination of a centuries-long struggle. He said the world had witnessed how successive governments had allegedly created hurdles in the path of the temple’s construction, but after directives from the Supreme Court (SC), a magnificent temple was ultimately built on the banks of the Sarayu River.

Rs 2k crore Chitrakoot Dham project underway

CM Dr Yadav shed light on the spiritual significance of Chitrakoot, noting that Lord Ram spent 11 important years of his life there. He announced that the MP government is developing a grand Chitrakoot Dham at an outlay of approximately Rs 2,000 crore. 

He continued by saying that all locations across the state associated with Lord Ram’s journey are being identified and are being developed under the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path project. Similarly, religious sites linked to Lord Krishna are being upgraded under the Shri Krishna Pathay initiative. 

The Chief Minister also said extensive development works worth thousands of crores are progressing rapidly in preparation for Simhastha 2028, one of the state’s most significant religious gatherings. 

Govt targeting major boost in milk production

Drawing inspiration from the ideals of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, CM Dr Yadav said the government has launched several initiatives to strengthen rural livelihoods and cattle rearing. He elaborated on the recently-introduced Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, under which financial assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh is being provided. The government has set a target of increasing the state’s milk production share from 12% to 20%. To encourage natural farming and cattle conservation, CM Dr Yadav announced that assistance of Rs 1,100 per month will be provided per cow.

Towards the end of his address, he emphasised the values embodied by Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman and urged people to adopt virtues such as sacrifice, devotion and service.
